Ahold USA LEED Volume Program

Stop & Shop and Giant Grocery Stores nationwide

Ahold USA made a corporate commitment to certify all new Stop & Shop and Giant grocery stores to the US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) 2009 LEED for Retail standards. VHB has provided consulting and project management services to facilitate LEED Volume Certification of all Ahold stores since 2007.

As a Project Manager at VHB, Michelle led the certification process of 13 stores under LEED for New Construction (NC) Retail, including five at the Silver level, and four stores under LEED for Commercial Interiors (CI) Retail, all four at the Silver level.
